Who ‘Momma Globy’ is for

Momma Globy Was Specifically Designed for YOU

And here is why: Since I got pregnant for the first time while being promoted to my first managerial position, I have been looking for direction and advice on how to navigate both. Being a working career momma in corporate of an intercultural family in Tokyo, Japan, there are so many challenges and topics everyday that I haven’t been able to find a solid resource.

Therefore, I decided to share my experiences and learnings hoping to help all future career mommas navigate their journey with ease and stress free.

Momma Globy Was Designed for International Career Mommas

Being a working momma is a challenge in itself. Being a motivated momma who wants to combine family and growing her career even more so. Add to that being in an international setting where neither you nor your partner are living in your home country with families in different countries.

The journey of a career momma progresses through different phases, decisions you have to take and things you have to do:

  • how to decide when to start a family
  • how to tell your work place about your pregnancy
  • how to plan maternity leave once you are pregnant
  • how to have a healthy pregnancy and prepare for birth while still full-time at work
  • how to figure out the administrative side of maternity and child care leave
  • how to find out what kind of momma you want to be
  • how to decide when to return to work and what kind of child care to go for
  • how to organize the day-to-day between family and work and find your priorities
  • how to navigate questions around which language and culture to raise your children in
  • how to build strong family relationships with relatives that live abroad

All of these questions need to be figured out by each momma individually. However, there are many ways how the decision making and figuring out can be broken down and made easier. Hearing the stories from other mommas, how they went about taking decisions, how they approached the various challenges along the way has helped me so much so that I am hoping that my experiences as a corporate working momma in Tokyo, Japan can help you, too.
